“Toronto! Welcome to the motherfu**in’ F.A.M.E. tour,” announced Chris Brown on the first date of his “F.A.M.E.” tour at Toronto’s Molson Canadian Amphitheatre, his first Canadian show in six years.
Following opening sets from Tyga, T-Pain, and Kelly Rowland (who thrilled with her Destiny’s Child hits and solo material), the 22-year-old entertainer kicked things off with “Say It With Me” to a sold-out audience of screaming fans.
The 90-minute gig included an elaborate, multi-level stage, light spectacular, numerous wardrobe changes, and killer moves courtesy of Breezy.
A glowing Chris danced in the dark to the Benny Benassi-produced “Beautiful People,” got freaky with a female fan during the racy “Wet the Bed,” and showed off his fancy footwork with his debut single “Run It!”
The electrifying concert received praise from critics, including the Toronto Sun, who called Chris the “whole package in terms of dancing, performing, and general showmanship.”
The comeback king was thrilled to be back on the road after three years. “This shit cray!!! Omg!! Torontooooooo!!!!!” he exclaimed following a triumphant opening night.
