Queen Latifah has reportedly signed up to be a contestant on the upcoming season of 'Dancing with the Stars.'
The rapper-turned-entertainment mogul, who is the executive producer of the new VH1 series 'Single Ladies,' and recently launched a clothing line with Home Shopping Network, will serve as a cast member on the upcoming 13th season of 'Dancing with the Stars,' according to TMZ.
Latifah is set to join 'Jersey Shore' star Snooki, former '90210' actress Tiffani Thiessen, 'The Hills' reality darling Kristin Cavallari and Rob Kardashian, who is famous for being the brother of someone who is famous, Kim Kardashian, for being friends with someone who is famous for... we'll let you fill in the blanks.
'Dancing with the Stars' has featured several past contestants from the hip-hop and R&B world, including Master P, Romeo, Brandy, Mya and MC Hammer. The new season begins in September.
Latifah's show 'Single Ladies,' which stars Stacey Dash and LisaRaye McCoy, wrapped its first season on VH1 on Aug. 8. It is not yet known whether the show will be receiving a second season.
*UPDATE: Queen Latifah is shooting down the news that she will appear on the new season of 'Dancing with the Stars.' The New Jersey native took to her Twitter account to voice herself. "No truth to the rumors of me doing Dancing With The Stars. Love the show though so I'll be watching just like you!" she tweeted Monday (Aug. 15).
