Kelly Rowland could not have picked a more apt title for her third solo album, 'Here I Am,' which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B albums chart this week.
After only one week, the album has sold over 75,000 copies, somersaulting it to No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200, her highest score yet. Her hit single, 'Motivation' featuring Lil Wayne, helped generate anticipation over the album's release and fans came out in full force to get their hands on a copy.
However, Rowland is no stranger to success. She has sold over four million solo albums to date and more than 60 million worldwide with Destiny's Child but her recent release marks a significant course change for the star.
In other words, the five-time Grammy Award-winner has always been at the party but she is now the main attraction. Hopefully, she will keep the momentum going and fans like 50 Cent can watch 'Here I Am' continue to soar up the Billboard charts.
