Rapper 2 Chainz was arrested earlier today (May 22) at New York City's LaGuardia Airport, where he tried to board a plane with brass knuckles in his carry-on luggage, TMZ reports. The Atlanta MC was apparently bound for North Carolina, where he's due to perform this evening.According to the gossip site, TSA officials called the police after making their discovery, and the "Riot" rhymer was arrested at 1:45PM for misdemeanor possession of a criminal weapon.
No word yet on whether 2 Chainz will make tonight's gig at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek in Raleigh, N.C., a stop on Drake's Club Paradise tour. A representative said the artist's peeps are "handling the situation."
