Lil Wayne, Young Money Sued for $15 Mil Over 'BedRock'

As fans anxiously await the release of Lil Wayne's highly-anticipated 'Tha Carter IV' album, the Young Money rapper's legal woes continue to haunt him.

Currently on the second leg of what is sure to be one of 2011's highest-grossing tours, Weezy has been hit with a $15 million lawsuit over his Young Money crew's 2009 single 'BedRock,' from their compilation album 'We Are Young Money.'

AllHipHop reports that a Waynesboro, Georgia rap group called Done Deal Enterprises has filed suit against Wayne, Young Money Records and Cash Money Records, in the Southern district of New York, claiming 'BedRock' contains elements of DDE's original composition of the same name, which they allegedly handed to a contact at Young Money.

Released in November, 2009, Young Money's Kane Beatz-produced 'BedRock' single shot to #1 on Billboard's rap chart, selling in excess of 3 million copies. The single featured Young Money stars Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Gudda Gudda, Jae Millz and Lloyd.

According to the legal documents, Wayne and his lawyers have been ordered to appear in court on October 12, 2011. Wayne's I Am Still Music Tour wraps up in Texas on Sept 11.

Wayne and co. have been hit with numerous lawsuits regarding unpaid royalties from Wayne's 2007 album 'Tha Carter III,' including proceedings filed by 'A Milli' producer Bangladesh, 'Lollipop' hit-maker Jim Jonsin, and Darius "Deezle" Harrison's most recent $20 million attempt.

Wayne's long-awaited ninth studio album 'Tha Carter IV' is scheduled for an August 29 release.
