Amy Winehouse Found Dead In London Flat




Today (July 23rd) Sources confirmed that Grammy Award winning singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse was found dead in her London flat.

While details are still emerging about the specifics of the English singer's passing, many sources have already begun to speculate that the cause of death was drug and alcohol related.

Credited for having revived British soul music with her critically acclaimed album Frank that was released in 2003, Winehouse has long been known to make headlines for her drug abuse struggles with crack-cocaine and heroin.

In 2008 Amy took home Grammy's for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, for the single, "Rehab". In addition her album Back to Black was nominated for Album of the Year and won Best Pop Vocal Album, while her producer on the project. Mark Ronson won the Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Non Classical category.

With respect to her hip-hop collaborations, Amy worked with Ghostface Killah of Wu-Tang Clan, producer Salaam Remi known for his work with Nas, and was rumored to have started a group or project with ?uestlove of the Roots.
