Kanye West Says 'R.I.P. to the Black Eyed Peas'

Are the Black Eyed Peas calling it quits?

Headlining the first day of Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, Texas Friday night (Sept. 16), Kanye West called out an impromptu eulogy for the mega popular rap group, adding further speculation to the rumors that will.i.am and co. may be taking an extended break.

Against a backdrop of fog and laser beams, Kanye wrapped up the performance of his epic single 'All of the Lights' by playing BEP front woman Fergie's verse, and announcing "Rest in peace to the Black Eyed Peas. You're gonna be missed!"

Back in July, Fergie revealed that the group would be taking an "indefinite break" from recording at a BEP concert in Staffordshire, UK, proclaiming the show "very special," because it would be the "last time we're going to be in England for a long time."

Will.i.am later tweeted a similar message, writing, "The @Bep will take a break after the beginning...just like we did from monkey business to the e.n.d...but it doesn't mean we stop creating."

The Black Eyed Peas have yet to release an official statement regarding their rumored breakup.
