Gucci Mane's Reduced Sentence Denied, Remains in Jail

Contrary to recent reports, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane will not be receiving an early release from prison.

The 'Wasted' rapper, currently serving a six month bid for pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle, saw his attempt to reduce his sentence denied on Friday (Oct. 28), by Dekalb State Court Judge Eleanor Ross.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the 31-year-old rapper, who pleaded guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct back in September, offered to hold a benefit concert for he Dekalb County Battered Women's Shelter, in hopes of receiving a reduced sentence. However, the judge was not impressed by Gucci's attempt, stating, "I don't think it would be appropriate to let him out just because he's a rapper."

To make matters worse for Gucci, just moments after his motion was denied, he was hit with a civil suit by the victim, 36-year-old Diana Graham, who claims he pushed her out of his car after she refused to have sex with him in exchange for money.

The rhymer, who was identified by Graham thanks to his ice cream cone face tattoo, will be required to complete 12 weeks of anger management courses and pay $5,091 to cover her medical bills, along with a $3,000 fine, upon his release in early 2012.
