Ludacris the Subject of Justin Bieber's New Freestyle

Controversy surrounding Justin Bieber's rap skills emerged last month after famed hip-hop producer DJ Premier revealed that the pop star wanted to take part in the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards cyphers but was shut down from participating because he failed to deliver original material.

"...We heard, 'Oh, he wants Luda [Ludacris] to write his rhyme,'" DJ Premier stated. "I was like, 'Oh no, no, no, no. If you ain't writing your own rhyme, you can't do it.' So Justin, you gotta take a backseat. Write your own rhymes, honey. You gotta call him honey on that one."

In an effort to prove that he could in fact spit rhymes straight off the brain, Bieber showcased his skills on the Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg morning show on New York City's Hot 97.

"Cheese like gouda and my soul like buddha/ And my goal right through ya and I'm so much cooler/ And I don't need Luda to know that I'm the ruler/ And I'm so much cooler, you should call me Ferris Bueller," the Canadian native rapped.

'DWYCK' was the beat of choice for Bieber, who just released his 'Under the Mistletoe' holiday album. Gang Starr, which is the hip-hop collective DJ Premier was a member of alongside the late Keith "Guru" Elam, put out the track in 1994.
