Earlier this week, The BoomBox reported that both Kanye West and Nicki Minaj would walk the runway at the Victoria's Secret annual fashion show to showcase their lyrical talents while models displayed decorated lingerie as well as their assets. Wednesday night (Nov. 9), the event took place and saw a surprise guest in the form of Jay-Z join his 'Watch the Throne' counterpart on the mic.Yeezy, who was originally set to perform his smash 'Stronger' at the fashion show in 2007, but had to cancel due to his mother's untimely death, rapped through the song off his '808s & Heartbreak' LP before Hov stood by his side on the runway.
"Before I get out of here, I gotta get my big brother to help me with the new s---," the Chi-town MC explained. As the sounds of their 'WTT' Hit Boy-produced track 'N----s in Paris' screamed through the speakers, the audience erupted into cheers as Jigga man took over his lines on the song.
Nicki, on the other hand, was solo and moved through her 'Pink Friday' hit 'Super Bass as dancers surrounded her and models with fairy wings strutted by. The Queens native donned a curly pink wig and a multi-colored ensemble to match.
The Victoria's Secret fashion show will air Nov. 29 on CBS.
